Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the racers, panting, 1 and produce sparks 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
