And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
