Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 You and whatever you worship 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would have certainly been sincere servants of God". 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
