And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other? 44 The army will be routed and put to flight. 45 Surely the Hour will be the moment of their promise, and that moment will be calamitous and distressing. 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
