Nay, by the moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning for people -- 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except those of the right hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 about the sinners. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
