'Aad denied the messengers 123 Behold, their brother Hud said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 125 So fear Allah and obey me. 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists). 127 Do you build monuments on every high place in vanity, 128 And take ye for yourselves castles that haply ye may abide. 129 “And when you apprehend someone, you seize him mercilessly?” 130 "Now fear Allah, and obey me. 131 "Yea, fear Him Who has bestowed on you freely all that ye know. 132 succoured you with flocks and sons, 133 And orchards and springs. 134 Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day." 135 They said, “It is the same for us, whether you advise us or not be of the preachers.” 136 "This is no other than the false-tales and religion of the ancients, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 19, Page 97] 137 “And we will not be punished.” 138 In this there is evidence (of the Truth), yet most of them do not have any faith. 139 And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 140
