Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 that hide, 16 by the night swarming, 17 The rising dawn, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
