The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
