The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
