O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and wives of the believers that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public], so as to be recognized and not harmed. God is most forgiving and most merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts there is a sickness, and the scandal mongers in Madinah do not desist from their vile acts, We shall urge you to take action against them, and then they will hardly be able to stay in the city with you. 60 Accursed, wherever found, they shall be seized and killed with a (terrible) slaughter. 61 That was the way of Allah in the case of those who passed away of old; thou wilt not find for the way of Allah aught of power to change. 62 People ask thee ccncerning the Hour. Say thou: the knowledge thereof is only with Allah: and what knowest thou! belike the Hour is nigh. 63 Surely Allah has cursed the unbelievers and has prepared for them a burning fire, 64 therein to abide beyond the count of time: no protector will they find, and none to bring them succour. 65 On that Day when their faces are turned about in the Fire, they shall say: 'Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger' 66 They shall say, "Our Lord, we paid heed to our leaders and our elders, but they led us away from the right path. 67 Our Lord, give them chastisement twofold, and curse them with a mighty curse!' 68
