3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
