Al-Qalam 2 of 2
For those who fear God there are pleasure gardens with their Lord. 34 Shall We then treat those who have surrendered as We treat the guilty? 35 What has happened to you? How do you judge? 36 Or do you have a Book wherein you read 37 #NAME? 38 Or have ye oaths from Us reaching to the Day of Resurrection, that you shall be that which ye judge? 39 Ask thou of them, which of them will stand surety for that! 40 Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful. 41 Remember the Day whereon the shank shall be bared and they shall be called upon to Prostrate themselves, but they shall not be able. 42 Their eyes will be cast down and they will be covered in shame; they were bidden to prostrate themselves, when they were safe and sound [but they did not obey]. 43 Then leave Me Alone with such as belie this Quran. We shall punish them gradually from directions they perceive not. 44 and I shall respite them -- assuredly My guile is sure. 45 Askest thou a hire from them so that they are laden with debt? 46 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 47 So wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, and be not like the companion of the fish, when he cried while he was in distress. 48 Had the favor of his Lord not come upon him, he would have been blamed, cast upon the shore. 49 And his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous. 50 The unbelievers wellnigh strike thee down with their glances, when they hear the Reminder, and they say, 'Surely he is a man possessed!' 51 Whilst it is no more than reminder for the people of the world. 52

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
