Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
