۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
