Nay, and by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
