The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Beneficent 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
