Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known calculated term. 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
