Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas overflow; 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
