AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 When they reached the confluence they forgot the fish (they had brought as food) which swiftly made its way into the sea. 61 So when they had passed further on (beyond that fixed place), Musa (Moses) said to his boy-servant: "Bring us our morning meal; truly, we have suffered much fatigue in this, our journey." 62 He replied: 'What do you think, I forgot the fish when we were resting on the rock. None but satan made me forget to mention this; it made its way into the sea in a marvelous fashion' 63 [Musa (Moses)] said: "That is what we have been seeking." So they went back retracing their footsteps. 64 Then they found one of Our votaries, whom We had blessed and given knowledge from Us. 65 Moses said to him: "May I attend upon you that you may instruct me in the knowledge you have been taught of the right way?" 66 He (Khidr) said: "Verily! You will not be able to have patience with me! 67 'For how can you bear patiently with that which you have never encompassed in your knowledge' 68 Replied [Moses]: "Thou wilt find me patient, if God so wills; and I shall not disobey thee in anything!" 69 He said, “Therefore if you stay with me, do not ask me about anything until I myself mention it to you.” 70
