Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 And share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember You much: 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
