Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 and my chest will become constricted and my tongue will not be loosed (in my speech), therefore, send to Aaron. 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 ‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” 17 (Firon) said: Did we not bring you up as a child among us, and you tarried among us for (many) years of your life? 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. 33
