The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 and drowned the rest. 120 In this there is evidence (of the truth) but most of them do not have any faith. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
