Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
