Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 until an appointed time? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
