Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 They know whatever you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
