Al-Bayyinah

Proof (Al-Bayyinah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Divorce (Al-Talaaq) before Exodus (Al-Hashr)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters would never leave off; till the Clear Sign came to them, 1 A Messenger from Allah reciting Purified Pages 2 Wherein are discourses eternal. 3 Nor were the People of the Scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them. 4 And withal, they were not enjoined aught but that they should worship God, sincere in their faith in Him alone, turning away from all that is false; and that they should be constant in prayer; and that they should spend in charity: for this is a moral law endowed with ever-true soundness and clarity. 5 The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters shall be in the Fire of Gehenna, therein dwelling forever; those are the worst of creatures. 6 But those who believe and do good deeds are the best of all creatures. 7 Their reward is with Allah: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher. 8
