Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 You will be shown hell 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
