The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Sin Mim 1 These are the verses of a Book luminous. 2 Perchance thou consumest thyself that they are not believers. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from heaven before which their necks will remain humbled. 4 Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord but they turn away from it. 5 For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule. 6 Have they, then, never considered the earth - how much of every noble kind [of life] We have caused to grow thereon? 7 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 8 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 9
