The food of the Zakkum tree 43 The food of the sinner! 44 Like molten copper boiling in the belly 45 as boiling water bubbles. 46 “Seize him and drag him to the middle of the Blazing Fire, 47 “Then pour on his head the punishment of boiling water.” 48 Taste it - thou who [on earth] hast considered thyself so mighty, so noble! 49 Verily this is that whereof ye were wont to doubt. 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 Thus shall it be: and We shall espouse them to fair, wide-eyed maidens. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit in security. 55 They will not taste death again in it, except their former death; and Allah has saved them from the punishment of fire. 56 As a Bounty from thy Lord! that will be the supreme achievement! 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So be watchful, they too are watching. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
