NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning to mankind, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
