The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
