Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
