Thorns (Al-Masad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5
