And call to mind what time Allah will say: O 'Isa, son of Maryam! was it thou who said to the people: take me and my mother as two gods beside Allah! 'Isa will say: hallowed be Thou! It was not for me to say that to which I had no right; had I said it, Thou would have surely known it; Thou knowest that which is in my mind and I know not that which is in Thy mind. Verily Thou! Thou art the Great Knower of the things hidden. 116 "Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, 'worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things. 117 If You punish them, indeed they are Your creatures; if You pardon them, indeed You are mighty and wise." 118 Thereupon Allah will say: 'This day truthfulness shall profit the truthful. For them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow. There they will abide for ever. Allah is well-pleased with them, and they well-pleased with Allah. That indeed is the mighty triumph.' 119 To God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is in them, and He is powerful over everything. 120
