In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha. Mim. 1 A revelation from [God], the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful -- 2 a Book whose revelations are well expounded, an Arabic Quran for people who possess knowledge, 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And they say: our hearts are under veils from that whereunto thou callest us, and in our ears there is heaviness, and betwixt us and thee there is a curtain; work thou then, verily we are workers. 5 Say thou, [O Prophet:] "I am but a mortal like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is the One God: go, then, straight towards Him and seek His forgiveness!" And woe unto those who ascribe divinity to aught beside Him, 6 who do not pay the zakat, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 Surely those who believe, and do righteous deeds shall have a wage unfailing.' 8
