The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He has created man: 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
