Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
