We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
