The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
