Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
