Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
