Behold! We gave the site, to Abraham, of the (Sacred) House, (saying): "Associate not anything (in worship) with Me; and sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or stand up, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer). 26 and publicly proclaim Pilgrimage for all mankind so that they come to you on foot and mounted on lean camels from every distant point 27 that they may witness things profitable to them and mention God's Name on days well-known over such beasts of the flocks as He has provided them: "So eat thereof, and feed the wretched poor." 28 They must then remove their dirt and fulfil their pledges and go around the Free House. 29 Such (is the Pilgrimage): whoever honours the sacred rites of Allah, for him it is good in the Sight of his Lord. Lawful to you (for food in Pilgrimage) are cattle, except those mentioned to you (as exception): but shun the abomination of idols, and shun the word that is false,- 30 Hunafa' Lillah (i.e. to worship none but Allah), not associating partners (in worship, etc.) unto Him and whoever assigns partners to Allah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place. 31 That [is so]. And whoever honors the symbols of Allah - indeed, it is from the piety of hearts. 32 Therein are benefits for you for an appointed term; and afterward they are brought for sacrifice unto the ancient House. 33
