Allah it is Who has made cattle for you so that you ride some of them and from some of them you derive food. 79 (Many) benefits ye have from them - and that ye may satisfy by their means a need that is in your breasts, and may be borne upon them as upon the ship. 80 And He shows you His signs: which then of Allah's signs will you deny? 81 Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were more numerous than these and superior in strength and in the traces (they have left) in the land: Yet all that they accomplished was of no profit to them. 82 for when their apostles came to them with all evidence of the truth, they arrogantly exulted in whatever knowledge they [already] possessed: and [so, in the end,] they were overwhelmed by the very thing which they were wont to deride. 83 but when they saw Our punishment, they said, "We believe in God, the One God, and we reject the partners we used to associate with Him," 84 So their accepting of faith did not benefit them when they saw Our punishment; the tradition of Allah which has passed among His bondmen; and there were the disbelievers ruined. 85
