Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
