The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 surely, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 saying, "This is plain sorcery!" 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
