Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the pages are made public 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
