Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble scribes 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
