Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
