Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Say (unto them): Except (your fill)! Lo! I am with you among the expectant. 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 (If they are truthful in this), then let them produce a discourse of similar splendour. 34 Or, were they created out of nothing? Or, were they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or is it that [they who reject thy message, O Muhammad, fear lest] thou ask of them a reward, so that they would be burdened with debt [if they should listen to thee]? 40 Do they have knowledge of the unseen, thus, are able to predict (the future)? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 A day on which their scheming will not benefit them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 Surely a chastisement awaits the wrong-doers even before the coming of that Day; but most of them do not know. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane. 49
