Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the racers, panting, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And raiding at dawn 3 and blaze a trail of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
